When the wedding dates are decided, Mayo or Ubtan is the function that held at least  ten days before the wedding day. In this function, Bride wears the suit gifted by groom's mother and will remain in seclusion till the Mehndi day. Ubtan is the mixture of tumeric, milk, lemon juice, and rose water. This mask is applied on the Brides face, hands and feet for the glowing skin on her wedding day by day her sisters, mother and friends.

There is no such variety of colors for Mayo function because Yellow is the only color which is prefer by ladies and yellow is the only color which is traditionally suits a Mayo Bride. Moreover, Brides do not demand alot of jewelry and makeup for Mayo function. Traditionally, Mayo is simply decent function and Brides looks are  also simply adorable. During last decades, there is no doubt that Pakistani industry is growing rapidly. Mehndi is held at least one or two days before the wedding day. The Bride's friends and family members apply henna on their hands too. Dances are performed to make the fuction more happening. Charity is given to protect against evil by circling money three times on the bride's head. The family organizes the dinner for the guests. Moreover, the groom also has a mehndi ceremony where a leaf is put on his hand and his relatives put little bits mehndi on the leaf.
